WHAT YOUR FILE NEEDS.

The better the file, the better the transfer. Check these basics before uploading your artwork into the gang sheet builder.
01

TRANSPARENT BACKGROUND

Remove unwanted white, black, colored, or boxed backgrounds before upload unless you want that background printed.

02

HIGH RESOLUTION

Use 300 DPI artwork at the final size you want printed. Low-resolution files may print blurry or pixelated.

03

FINAL PRINT SIZE

Make sure each logo, design, name, number, or graphic is sized correctly inside the builder before checkout.

04

CLEAN EDGES

Check for rough cutouts, leftover pixels, halos, shadows, or fuzzy edges around your artwork.

05

ENOUGH SPACE

Leave room between designs so transfers are easier to cut apart after printing.

06

PRINT-READY ART

Files print as uploaded. Check your artwork carefully before placing your order.

IMPORTANT

IF IT IS VISIBLE, IT CAN PRINT.

DTF printing uses the visible artwork in your file. If your file has a white box, black box, colored background, leftover pixels, rough cutout, or unwanted shadow, that can show up on the transfer.

BEST FILE TYPES

WHAT TO UPLOAD.

Transparent PNG is the safest choice for most gang sheet orders. Use the highest-quality artwork you have.

BEST OPTION

PNG

Transparent background Best for logos, graphics, full-color artwork, and most gang sheet builder uploads.

CAN WORK

PDF

Check transparency PDFs may work depending on how the artwork was exported. Check that the background and sizing are correct.

DESIGN FILES

AI / PSD

Export first Export your final artwork as a transparent PNG before uploading into the builder whenever possible.

DO NOT UPLOAD

FILES THAT CAN PRINT BAD.

These file types and artwork issues usually cause soft edges, pixelation, unwanted backgrounds, or poor print results.
01

SCREENSHOTS

Screenshots are usually low resolution and may print blurry, jagged, or pixelated.

02

TINY WEB IMAGES

Small images pulled from websites or social media often do not have enough resolution for clean printing.

03

PHOTOS OF DESIGNS

A photo of a logo, shirt, sticker, or screen is not the same as a clean print file.

04

BLURRY ARTWORK

Blurry artwork will usually print blurry. DTF cannot turn a low-quality image into sharp artwork.

05

UNWANTED BOXES

If a white, black, or colored box is still in the file, it can print around your design.

06

PIXELATED LOGOS

Enlarged low-resolution logos may look rough, jagged, or fuzzy after printing.

GANG SHEET LAYOUT

SET UP YOUR SHEET CLEAN.

Your gang sheet should be easy to print, easy to cut, and easy to press.
01

SPACE YOUR DESIGNS

Leave cutting room between each design so you are not trimming too close to the print.

02

KEEP ART INSIDE THE SHEET

Make sure no artwork is hanging off the edge of the builder canvas.

03

CHECK ROTATION

Rotate designs only when needed and make sure the final layout is easy to cut apart.

04

DUPLICATE CAREFULLY

If you duplicate artwork, double-check that every copy is the correct size.
