What moves your cost.
Final print size
A 3-inch left-chest logo and a 12-inch full-front print use very different space. Calculate with the size you will actually press.
Quantity
The right sheet is the smallest size that holds the quantity you need with usable cutting room—not the biggest sheet by default.
Layout efficiency
Repeated shapes pack cleanly. Mixed artwork can fill open areas, but should always be confirmed inside the Gang Sheet Builder.

Start Building Your Gang SheetCost per transfer: count the prints you will actually use
Sheet cost ÷ usable transfers = transfer cost before shipping, tax, garments, and labor. Use this calculation after you confirm your artwork's physical dimensions and layout.
For example, a simple grid of 10 × 10 inch graphics with 0.25-inch gaps can give an estimated 14 spaces on a 22 × 72 inch sheet. At a listed $24.99, filling all 14 spaces with usable prints gives about $1.79 per transfer. If you need only 12 and leave two spaces unused, divide by 12 instead: about $2.08 per requested print.
The sheet costs the same in both cases. The difference is how much usable artwork you put on it. Those figures are planning examples, not a guarantee that every 10-inch graphic or mixed layout fits the same way. Check the builder's printable boundaries and final arrangement.
Price per foot and price per finished shirt answer different questions
| Example sheet | Listed sheet price | Length | Approximate price per foot |
|---|---|---|---|
| 22 × 24 inches | $9.99 | 2 feet | $5.00 |
| 22 × 72 inches | $24.99 | 6 feet | $4.17 |
| 22 × 360 inches | $104.99 | 30 feet | $3.50 |
Price per foot compares equal-width sheet space. It does not tell you the complete cost of a shirt. Current prices should be confirmed on the product page before checkout.
If a shirt needs a front and back, count both transfers. Then add the blank, shipping allocation, cutting time, pressing labor, test allowance, packaging, and any selling costs. A chest logo and a full-front graphic do not use the same amount of sheet space.
How layout changes the price you pay per usable print
Start with the largest artwork and its approved dimensions. Rotate designs when it saves space, then fill suitable gaps with small logos, sleeves, or labels that you actually need. Leave enough room to cut the transfers apart.
Do not reduce the approved print size only to fit a cheaper sheet. A shirt with artwork that is too small can cost more to replace than the sheet upgrade would have cost. Use the garment sizing guide before optimizing the layout.
What is included in a gang-sheet price?
You are buying printed DTF transfers on the selected sheet. You still need suitable garments and a heat press. Optional File Review is a separate technical artwork check; it is not redesign. Shipping and applicable tax are handled at checkout.
No extra color-count charge means you can mix full-color graphics within your purchased space. It does not mean unlimited artwork outside that space, free garment pressing, or a free change after production begins.
When does a larger sheet make sense?
Choose a longer sheet when the artwork, quantities, and layout use it well. A larger order can make sense for repeated production, but a small test sheet is useful when you are checking a new design, blank, or press setup.
Before adding extra copies, check that the design is current and the sizing is approved. Avoid producing a large reserve of a graphic that may change after the first sample.
A quick buying checklist
- Approve each design's width and height on the actual garment.
- Count the quantities of every placement, including backs and sleeves.
- Use the calculator for one repeated size.
- Confirm mixed artwork, gaps, and printable edges in the builder.
- Compare sheet cost per usable print, then add your other production costs.
